Hi Rod, looking at this event and suddenly a question comes to mind.
Q. Is Adword campaigns still relevant with social marketing tools on the rise?
These new social marketing tools are free and can be even more effective then static Adword. (Social Media: branding, sales, engagement etc. Adwords: just directional pointing)
My take is that the future Adword will be superseded by Social Marketing. I think its also a not that distant reality.
Whats your take? ^_^

Hi Ian,
I don’t think social media will completely dominate internet marketing anytime soon. Adword will still be an effective tool if you use it probably. In fact, adwords is very useful for growing your community fast.
For example, In the past, if you use adwords alone, your objective could be to turn the lead in to sales. Now, if you add social elements to it, such as a blog or a Facebook community, you can direct your adwords traffic to your community and start engaging the prospects from there. It’s also alot easier to grow your community because now, the people who click on your ad can see what others are talking about you.
All in all, adwords is like any other offline advertising, it will only work if you use it probably.

Adwords is really good in driving traffic to your website. however, they are very strict right now and they would not easily approve websites that they thought have low quality content. ‘
