Are We Giving Away Our Personal Information Too Easily? Survey Suggest So

Facebook can be a very helpful tool to connect you to people you want to know and can risky if you are not careful. In an attempt to understand the attitude of youths towards social media, a recent survey was conducted by Singapore Polytechnic. In the survey of 800 Singaporeans between the age of 15 – 34, most were opened to include strangers into their circle of friends, suggesting that we give away personal information to strangers too easily.

The Future of LinkedIn Looks Exciting

In 2008, LinkedIn announce that they would open their platform for developers to build applications around it. In November 2009,  they announce that they allow users to login to LinkedIn using third parties websites. It seems like these two announcements are just baby steps toward evolving the platform. I am delighted to be one of the first to find out what plans LinkedIn have for the future, and yes, I will be sharing that with you here.

Singapore Firms Using Social Media As Hiring Tools

Social media is now use for pretty much everything business. From sales and marketing, branding to even recruitment. Yes, Singapore firms are now using social media to recruit job seekers. Channel NewsAsia published a post that give us a perspective of how companies are using social media to attract likely employees. It found that LinkedIn is the best platform to look for suitable candidates because “it is more relevant and the job seekers seem more earnest in their applications.”

The Real Reason Dell Made $6.5 Million on Twitter

By now most of you might have read about Dell’s announcement that they have made $6.5 million on Twitter. It was a very good case study for most of us because now we have a blueprint to follow when marketing on Twitter.
